Our Trustees

The Lotus Mental Health are proud to be a charity founded within a family.

As a collective, our families have all been affected by mental health. It is this life experience and passion to normalising mental health, that led to The Lotus Mental Health.

Chris Monk BSc (Hons)
Trustee/Co-founder

Chris graduated from the University of Central Lancashire in September 2007, with a 1st class degree in Software Engineering.
Chris is a father of two children, and step-father to another two. He brings with him 12 years of business experience and a passion for making The Lotus a success.

Carla Mironiuk BSc(Hons)
Director/Founder

Carla graduated from University Centre at Blackburn College in September 2016, with a 2:1 in Applied Psychology Counselling and Health.
Carla is currently the only person working full-time on behalf of The Lotus Mental Health. She is the mother of two children, and step-mother to another two, with a deep passion for children’s mental health and the importance of educating people in mental health from a young age.

Danielle Berry
Trustee

Danielle is a mortgage co-ordinator with a keen interest in health and wellbeing from both a physical and emotional perspective. As a result, believes that mental health in schools is just as important as the physical wellness taught. Danielle enjoys fundraising and has an active role in the discussion and implementation of fundraising ideas.

Paul Mironiuk

Trustee

Paul is a family man, with his wife, three daughters and son. Paul worked as a telephone engineer until an accident forced early retirement. He is a firm believer in mental health and believes it should be taught in schools around the world.

Christine Mironiuk
Trustee

Christine works for the NHS as a Health Care Assistant. She is a mother of four who believes that providing resources and support for children and young adults can help them develop a healthier mental wellbeing.

Kirsty lives with her husband and much-loved border collie. She loves to travel and enjoys spending time with family. Mental health is a subject very close to home and is very important to her, which is why she is honoured to be a part of The Lotus.
